A Rotating Molecular Bond

Today I'll continue with my visual series of the illustration of the principles of the Theory of Everything.


This time I'll show you the molecular bond of the hydrogen (H2) molecule:



The molecular bond is an orbital where the two orbital of two hydrogen atoms are knotted in a way, where the two spherical volumes around which the entangeled helices of dots orbit are in direct contact. To allow for the formation on the knot, of the molecular bond the orbital must become lopsided. That is, the knot on the oposite side of the orbital is within the spherical volume.


While this might not be obvious to you, this means that a hydrogen atom can form a molecular bond with only one atom. This doesn't mean that the knot on the opposite side cannot form a supramolecular knot. But, as I've said previously, a supramolecular knot is not a bond.


However, I'll leave the description of the supramolecular knot for a future post.
